will.i.am catches thief using his stolen iPad GPS tracking

Apple should issue a press release on this one. TMZ reports that will.i.am was able to track down the robber that stole over $10,000 worth of jewelry and personal items (including the iPad) from his Bentley last week.will’s method? He turned on his iPad’s built-in tracking system to locate the thief’s whereabouts and then called the cops.
TMZ reports the police already have returned most of will.i.am’s stuff but the robber has not been caught and is currently on the run…hopefully for him he is not carrying will.i.am’s iPad.

Romeo Miller lands first role in a studio film w/ “Jumping the Broom”

Romeo Miller, AKA Lil Romeo, AKA Master P’s son, has just landed his first film role that is backed by a major film studio. You might recall, Romeo has attempted to get into the film business many times including my personal favorite Pig People (see pics) and tried to break out of his Nickelodeon typecast in TV with a reality show (see trailer) that no network picked up.
But now Romeo can finally add some legit credits to his work as he has a role in the upcoming Sony Columbia Pictures wedding comedy Jumping the Broom. THR reports the movie stars Paula Patton and Angela Bassett and revolves around the clash of two black families from opposite ends of the socioeconomic spectrum meeting for the first time during a weekend wedding in Martha’s Vineyard. No word on Romeo’s role but you can be guaranteed it’s better than Pig People.

Hopefully Alicia Keys can advise Swizzy the best way to avoid the IRS…pay your taxes.
33% of Eminem’s “Recovery” album sales were digital
Official SoundScan numbers are in and Eminem’s Recovery sold 741K albums its first week. Amazing. What’s more amazing is that 33% of those sales were digital album sales which SoundScan now rolls in together with physical CD sales. Amazing because I wonder who the 67% are who actually still go buy CDs.
