VIDEO: Diddy launches “The Love Movement” on DiddyBlog

With the official launch of Diddy’s new “uplifting, empowering, inspiring” website, he kicks things off with a new movement he calls “The Love Movement.” And no it has nothing to do with Cassie, Kim Porter or any of his other ladies but instead is focusing on love for each other and turning your hands into a heart shape.

Has Diddy lost it or is he genuinely trying to better humanity? Watch the vid and you be the judge.

VIDEO: Diddy promises DiddyBlog.com will NOT promote Ciroc, Sean John, Bad Boy, etc

If this holds true, this is a pretty shocking statement coming from the master of cross-promotional marketing himself. In announcing the launch of his new DiddyBlog.com website (see launch trailer), Diddy states himself that the site will NOT be used as an outlet to promote his multiple Diddy ventures including Ciroc, Sean John, upcoming movie projects, etc. Instead, the focus of Diddyblog.com will be about positivity and motivation. Only time will tell if Diddy can keep his word. Make sure to check out the official site though as it is scheduled to launch today.

Details on Pharrell’s “Despicable Me” Soundtrack

As we previously reported, Pharrell Williams is credited as a music producer and co-creator of the official music score for the upcoming animated Summer film Despicable Me. Universal Pictures wanted a sound that was a mix of contemporary, old school funk and hip for the music score. The studio was so impressed with Pharrell’s initial work that he recorded three more songs in addition to the title track that made it on to the actual official soundtrack.

The soundtrack, which will be released on July 6th, will feature four original Pharrell created tracks in which he wrote, produced and sang. “Despicable Me,” “Fun, Fun, Fun, ” “Prettiest Girls,” and “Rocket’s Theme” were all created by Pharrell while he co-produced the song “My Life” featuring Robin Thicke. This is the first time that a hip-hop producer has actually overseen the score to an animated film of this budget. From the looks of things Despicable Me could post some big numbers which would put Pharrell in the drivers seat for more feature film music producing opportunities.
