Ice-T confirmed as voice character in “Gears of War 3″

Rumors were running around that Ice-T landed a pretty coveted voice character role for the highly anticipated Xbox 360 game Gears of War 3. The gaming industry has allowed music labels a new format to promote their music through so it’s a logical step that more and more professional actors and music artists get in on the voice character action.

Reports from Kotaku are that Ice-T will play the role of Griffin. Unfortunately his wife Coco will not be featured in the game.

MOVIE TRAILER: “Stomp the Yard: Homecoming” w/ David Banner

David Banner, Terrence J & Columbus Short star in the upcoming straight-to-DVD Stomp the Yard: Homecoming. Yea so there is no Ne-Yo, Megan Good or Chris Brown but this is still a pretty legit cast and production value for a direct-to-DVD production. Movie hits stores on Blu-ray and DVD Sept. 21st.

Karate Kid sequel with Jaden Smith already in talks

After Karate Kid blew away the competition this past weekend grossing $56 million in the U.S. and international numbers that are expected to help the pic gross almost half a billion dollars globally, it’s no surprise that Sony is already in talks to film a Karate Kid sequel. According to Deadline, Sony execs are already taking meetings with Hollywood’s top writers to see where they want to take the story for the next installment.

Both Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan have options to star in a sequel so it would seem like a slam dunk for Lil Smith…that is unless he wants to get into TV and remake “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” But there can only be one Carlton. Then again…there can only be one Mr. Miyagi.
