Due to the overwhelming success of Universal’s Despicable Me which opened this past weekend at #1, the studio has already started preliminary talks for a sequel and spin offs featuring those little yellow minions who sound like Juvenile on speed. As previously reported, Pharrell has been an intricate part of the movie having written the majority of the soundtrack and score (see video).

WoooHa can confirm that Pharrell has been in early talks about being more involved in these upcoming projects with the music and score. Nothing is confirmed or expected to be confirmed for awhile now since everything is still in early stages but it’s nice to see someone with hip-hop roots doing big things in film. In general, the majority of Hollywood and insiders were pleased with Pharrell’s work ethic and his passion to do more in the film industry.
