Sean Penn was the by far the most vocal opposition to Wyclef’s attempt at running for President of Haiti. While Wyclef is now ineligible to run, Penn takes to “The Huffington Post” to defend his position on his now-infamous CNN interview (clip shown above). If you read the entire article Penn does raise some interesting issues. He never doubts Wyclef’s intentions…but still fights for the point that Wyclef just is not the most qualified to be a president. In closing Penn states:

The real and devastating human issues in Haiti must be handled and led by a qualified president’s deft hand. These elections are crucial, and I have no part in them. Neither should Mr. Jean.

That final sentence is one that is hard to argue with. Once again, I’m biased because I live in California and have to deal with Ah-nold’s political decision making. “GET TO THE CHOP-PA!”
