Kanye West explains “Runaway” mini-movie

Kayne finally drops some more details on the movie he was filming earlier this month in Prague. He recently revealed to NY Mag that the movie is called Runaway and will be a 40 min. motion picture.

“I’m color-correcting this film I shot in Prague a couple weeks ago. I want to edit the film on a boat. Where are the good editing boats?” — is called Runaway, and is a 40-minute noir piece based on his new album. “It’s the story of a phoenix fallen to Earth, and I make her my girlfriend, and people discriminate against her and eventually she has to burn herself alive and go back to her world,” he told us. “I’ve been feeling the idea of the phoenix. It’s been in my heart for a while. It’s maybe parallel to my career. I threw a Molotov cocktail on my career last year, in a way, and I had to come back as a better person.”

Of course the Molotov cocktail he is referring to was last year’s VMA incident with Taylor Swift…not going out with Amber Rose. Via: RR

Russell Crowe set to star in RZA’s “The Man With The Iron Fist” movie

RZA is quietly building up his movie directing prowess to new levels. First he lands his first directing gig with the backing of Eli Roth and Quentin Tarantino in the martial arts flick The Man With The Iron Fist, and now RZA recently revealed that Academy Award Winner Russell Crowe will have a large role in the flick.

“I won’t spoil it for you, but Russell’s gonna be the baddest man alive…That man is in fighting shape. That man will knock you out,” RZA told E Online.
Universal Pictures is backing the film with a $20 million budget which is plenty for a martial arts film that takes place in feudal China. RZA also has a large role in the film as a “weapons making village blacksmith.” What Russell and RZA are doing in old China we have no idea. But we do know they are gonna kick some ass. While the news of Crowe taking on this role might be a surprise to some, word is that Crowe and RZA formed a friendship during the filming of American Gangster. The Man With the Iron Fist is currently in pre-production and set to begin filming on location in China and other various parts of Asia. Wu-Tang!

50 Cent’s international “13″ movie poster

Yea right now we can only get our hands on the Russian versions of the marketing material for 50′s next movie 13. You will notice it has a legit cast featuring Jason Statham and Mickey Rourke all wrapped up in a nice suspense thriller about a high stakes game of Russian Roulette. What? No Val Kilmer you say? Yea…that’s because this wasn’t a Cheetah Vision production. That’s why this will also hit the theaters. We’ll keep an eye out once the U.S. versions hit.
