Here is the first pic of Rihanna on the set of the upcoming big budget action film Battleship. It was announced back in July that Rihanna was cast in an unknown role by director Peter Berg but now this pic clearly indicates she’s a U.S. Navy girl. How a girl from Barbados ends up in U.S. Navy gear is beyond us…but I guess that’s movies for ya. Battleship is not expected to hit theaters until 2012.

This one pic just made me think twice about watching this movie now.
In response to the comment made about Rihanna in this pic, I would like to ask the author how does so many American actors end up playing the roles of so many other nationals in so many Hollywood films? His/her xenophobia is beyond.
Let me correct my grammar: “How do so many American actors end up playing the roles of so many other nationals with fake accents to boot, often very poorly done? When they play the role of someone from the English speaking Caribbean there is usually an attempt at a Jamaican accent. By the way we don’t all have Jamaican accents. His/her xenophobia is beyond me.
