It’s a lot less dramatic than everyone hoped for. Q-Tip went on record to state why he is currently not supporting the upcoming A Tribe Called Quest documentary that will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. According to Tip the movie just simply is not finished yet and “has holes” but producer/director Michael Rappaport is going forth anyways in order to hit Sundance. Even though Q-Tip had previously allowed director Michael Rappaport exclusive access to thousands of hours of footage for the upcoming A Tribe Called Quest documentary Beats, Rhythm & Life (see trailer), apparently they don’t see eye-to-eye on the finished movie. Q-Tip recently went public on Twitter with the following message:

@QtipTheAbstract:  I am not in support of the a tribe called quest documentary. The filmmaker should respect the band to the point of honoring the few requests that’s was made abt the piece

Sucks that this documentary won’t have Q-Tip’s full approval as it premieres at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. More info as we get it.

Nelly and the CW’s “90210″ are teaming up for a unique promotional partnership in which Nelly will guest appear in an episode where characters from the show are involved in the music video shoot for Nelly’s next single “She’s So Fly.” Episode is set to air in January which might prove too little too late considering Nelly’s recent spat with his label.

Here’s a look at the official Blu-ray / DVD art for the upcoming release of Takers starring T.I. and Chris Brown. It includes plenty of special features and interviews with T.I. who was also a producer on the movie. Get it in stores on January 18th.

Diddy partners up with Flip in this promotional campaign for the “Last Train to Paris” album which is set for release on Dec. 14.

Jay-Z and business partners, Juan and Desiree Perez have inked a deal with Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services in which the 40/40 Club may be put in as many as 20 major U.S airports. In the first phase of the agreement, travelers will gain access to the elite, modern sports bar to watch the game of their choice in an opulent lounge setting, all without leaving the airport.

“We are thrilled to partner with the 40/40 Club, to bring a stylish sports bar and lounge to airports across the country,” Robert Stanton, vice president of business development of Delaware North Companies, said in a statement. “From the personalized, one-of-a-kind jerseys on the wall, to every sports game you can think of on the television screens, the club will bring a new experience that we are sure travelers will welcome.”
