If you remember a couple years back we were pushing the indie flick Black Dynamite which starred Michael Jae White in an action Blaxploitation throw back. The film has garnered a nice underground following to the point that the Cartoon Network has now picked up the rights to the animated series. Show is set for a 2012 release and will feature the voice of Michael Jae White with a host of unannounced hip-hop acts to supply guest music and voice talent. This has RZA written all over it.

Off his highly anticipated Rolling Papers album which was just released to the tune of 197,000 albums sold for #2 on the Billboard Charts. Considering he was only outdone by Britney Spears, it’s not a bad debut.

R. Kelly is set to release a tell-all book that delivers everything we wanted, and didn’t want to know, about the man known as Robert Kelly.

“I’m writing this book as Robert, not R. Kelly,” he said. “I’m tired of being misunderstood. I will show you the tears, fears, and sweat. I will open my heart and reveal the good in my life as well as all the drama. I want to tell it like it is.”

By misunderstood does he mean we don’t understand why he likes to urinate on teenaged girls? Find out when “Soulacoaster” (get it? Like Rollercoaster??) hits shelves in 2012. Joking aside, it should make an entertaining read.

Looks like Jay-Z and his IT folks didn’t account for such major traffic with the debut of his new lifestyle site Life+Times. Although it was working fine this morning, the website is currently down at the same time that major press is starting to blog and write about it. Not a good thing. But at least from the promo video you can see how flashy and nice Life+Times will be. Kanye…take that!

The business folks who run the famed Colt 45 liquor brand have recently released a sales and marketing presentation to their distributors on how they plan to release the upcoming Blast by Colt alcoholic drink. As previously announced, Snoop Dogg has a major role in the marketing plans for Blast by Colt. In this video presentation we see exactly the company’s plans on how they want to maximize their endorsement deal with Snoop.
