DJ Premier x Nike. Shoe collabs like this are more for bragging rights vs. a profit making business decision unless you have a full on deal like Jay-Z did back in the day with Reebok. Most of the time in these one-off collabs the artist does not make any money from sales of the kicks, which are usually limited edition to begin with, but instead it’s leveraged as a brand builder for the artist and of course to claim you got your own Nikes. Regardless, it’s still pretty nice and these Primo AF1’s are looking good.

Now word has it that Swizz Beatz is teaming up with Christian Louboutin for a 2010 sneaker collaboration. Now word yet on the price range but considering a pair of Louboutin women’s shoes run from $1k-$2K they definitely will be more on the expensive side. DJ AM x Nike. DJ AM was one of the biggest sneaker heads around so when he landed the opportunity to design a version of the Nike Dunk High’s he obviously was excited. Unfortunately AM never got to enjoy his collaboration actually hit the streets.

His ACDC-inspired logo completes the look on the tongue and the pattern used for the dots along the heel come from the tool that gave AM his fame–the Technics 1200 turntable. Nice custom touch there. More pics after the jump…Via: NiceKicks

Mark Ronson x Gucci. If Louis Vuitton and Kanye West can do a shoe collaboration, well then so can Gucci and super producer Mark Ronson. Introducing the Gucci Ronson which includes some fancy packaging and a 12-inch vinyl record with tracks selected by Mark Ronson.

The sneakers will be available at “Flash” Gucci pop stores with the first debut at Crosby Street in New York City on October 23rd. The store will open to the public on October 24th and will stay open for 2 weeks. In December the temporary space will move to Miami to coincide with Art Basel Miami and Design Miami and in 2010 the pop-up store will come to London and Tokyo. More pics after the jump…
