Eminem x Call of Duty. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is one of the most anticipated games of the year. Although it already has record pre-sales, Activision is turning the marketing heat up with this new TV spot featuring the Eminem’s “Till I Collapse.” Remember kids…music licensing money is no small change.

Mix Master Mike shows us a hands on demo of the “DJ Hero” killer formerly known as “Scratch – The Ultimate DJ.” Game has some legit backing with Numark as official turntable partners. Let the DJ battle begin.

Eminem x DJ Hero. Em pushes DJ Hero in this new promo video including details on the Renegade Edition. If all is true then he plans to take his real DJ skills to the next level. DJ Hero is finally in stores today. Props to Activision for the heads up.

Not even Jay-Z and Eminem might be able to save this one. Although Activision’s DJ Hero is EVERYWHERE these days as it hits stores tomorrow, it looks like Wall Street analysts aren’t buying it…and neither will consumers. Analysts Cowen & Company have dropped their projections for DJ Hero in half due to lack of interest from a recent retailer survey.

“On DJ Hero, despite some recent positive comments from company management about pre-orders, we remain very cautious about the title’s prospects at launch,” he noted. “A survey of online retailers indicates a demand profile that is well below what we would have expected to see just a few days before launch for a title that was destined to be a big (or even modest) hit. As a result, we are reducing our estimate for DJ Hero Q4 US unit sales from 1.6 million to 600,000, and we are reducing our first year estimate from 2.5 million to 950,000.”

There are a lot of factors that go into this…for many it’s the fact that consumers don’t want another fake plastic instrument crowding up the family room…for others…scratching on turntables just doesn’t have the appeal of rocking out on a guitar. We are still trying to figure out what this intro video to DJ Hero means…it’s a mix of The Matrix, Blade Runner and “California Love” all rolled together…with a semi-truck and gigantic turntable needle. See for yourself. Game hits stores October 27th.

Eric B & Rakim x NBA 2K10. One of the best sports video game TV commercials we have ever seen…and we don’t even like Kobe. Set to Eric B & Rakim’s classic “Don’t Sweat the Technique.” Nice to see a classic song getting some major recognition today. Ad is currently running on national TV programming.

Activision has just released the official Eminem & Jay-Z track listings for the upcoming DJ Hero Renegade Edition. The Renegade Edition will go for $199 and hits stores October 27th. Here is the brand new trailer for GTA – Episodes from Liberty City which the only way to experience both The Lost and Damned and the all-new episode The Ballad of Gay Tony in one complete package. Game hits stores October 29th.

Kid Cudi x Hip Hop All Star. Cudi lends a helping hand to promote the Hip Hop All Star iPhone app which is a DJ pad scratch based game but with some serious backers including DJ Green Lantern. The app is now available on the iTunes store.

B.O.B. x Mickey Factz x  NBA Live. The heat is on as both NBA Live 10 and NBA 2K10 both hit stores tomorrow. While 2k10 has been dropping weekly videos featuring artists on their soundtrack, EA and NBA Live has been focusing on their mixtape promotion to create the buzz. NBA 2k10 finally hits stores this Tuesday. Aside from the amazing game play and the loaded sound track, as part of the new Streetball feature you can now ball it up as an array of current hip-hop artists. Kanye West, Twista, Asher Roth, The Game, David Banner and Pitbull are just a handful of the current artists that you can play and watch them go against NBA players.
