Lil Kim has already gone on record stating she was against Naturi playing her in Notorious and how she also is not happy with how she is portrayed in the movie. Well then Kim…come out with your own movie! Plus all she really is doing is giving added publicity for Notorious. Naturi killed the role too.

The shorter version of this clip made its rounds on the blog sites a couple weeks back but now here is the entire 1 min 37 clip featuring DJ AM wearing the Air Yeezys (the first official Nike appearance of the Kanye West sneaker) and comedian Mike Epps with Kobe.

While Kanye is readying the release of the Yeezys supposedly in March, he is also busy with marketing and designing his Louis Vuitton shoe line as well.

Although the famed Beastie Boys hail from New York, the West Coast is representing by hosting a Beastie Boys tribute art exhibit in Los Angeles. Under The Influence: The Official Tribute to The Beastie Boys will open at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles on Thursday, January 8th. More pics after the jump.

The list of artists that contributed to the exhibit include The Silent Giants, MCA, Ryan Tan and Eric Hungerford among others. Check out the Gallery 1988 website for full details.

Jamal Woolard AKA Gravy talked to Sohh.com about preparing for his very large role as the Notorious B.I.G. in the upcoming biopic Notorious. Similar to B.I.G., Gravy also grew up as a New York M.C. and was known for his “large” stature. Regardless of the body-type similarities, Gravy had to undergo rigorous training at the “B.I.G. Bootcamp” where he was taught everything from B.I.G.’s iconic stance, the way he held the mic, and even how to gain weight (over 55 lbs. to be exact) to look more like Mr. Wallace.

Woolard states he had to learn the following movements:

Mannerisms, behavior, vocal training, knowing which hand he used to talk, the head rolls the rub of the nose, the breathing patterns.”

“The walk, the wobble the way his feet pointed out. The chin, keeping the chin high so the eyes look closed, always screwing up your face, never having a solid face.”

It’s been a looooong time since anyone from Dru Hill went platinum, but they are reuniting for a new album and of course that means (drum roll)….a reality TV show called “Platinum House” as well!

Show will follow original members Sisqo, Jazz, Nokio and new member Tao (who replaces Woody) as they prepare their comeback album “InDRUpendence Day”. No word yet on which network will pick this up, if any. But our bets are on VH-1 or BET.

In this video shot by the paparrazi, Kayne West does good on his New Years resolution to be nicer to them and reveals the white Louis Vuitton shoes (photos after the jump) he has been wearing are actually his own design that he will be releasing with LV later this June. We got first word of his LV shoe deal back in June 2008 so it’s nice to see this will actually be happening.

Toy company Playmates has the toy rights to the upcoming Terminator: Salvation movie. So what does that mean for hip-hop fans? For the ladies it means now you can finally take Common home with you. As many of you know, Common has a role in the movie as Barnes, freedom fighter alongside John Connor, fighting the evil forces of Sky Net.

Since he has a pretty major role in the movie, Playmates has created a fully posable Barnes (Common) action figure. Terminator Salvation comes to theaters May 22, 2009 and the action figures will be available via Corner Store Comics website. And yes, that is Common in the shades and beard. 2) Mariah Carey’s “Luscious Pink” TV ad: Although Mariah has gone all wifey with Nick Cannon, she still brings the heat in this new TV ad for her next perfume line. Ad features her next single “I Stay in Love.”

3) Lupe Fiasco’s “Trilly & Truly” clothing line: Lupe releases the next set from his clothing line and has received pretty favorable reviews from Trendz Report voters.

Further proof that Obama is the most accepted president ever by the urban fashion world. New Era has just released these images of a limited series of Obama fitted caps in celebration of his move to the Oval Office on January 12th. No word yet though on release date and prices.
