50 Cent To Launch Energy Drink ‘Street King’

50 Cent and Pure Growth Partners, a New York City based company that conceives and markets consumer brands announce the launch of an energy shot called Street King.

For every purchase of Street King a portion of the sales will go to providing a daily meal to an underprivileged child around the world.

In a statement Pure Growth Partners’ Founder and Chief Executive Officer Chris Clarke stated;

50 Cent and I share a common vision: to address the world’s problems through smart and sustainable business models,” Clarke said in a statement. “With the rampant starvation in Africa and hunger afflicting children worldwide, we need socially responsible businesses that affect real change now more than ever. And Street King can set the bar for future generations to come.”

Street King will launch nationwide in September, available in Orange Mango and Grape varieties for $2.49 to $2.99. The energy shot contains 100 percent natural flavors, no artificial colors and is made with a natural source of caffeine, which is derived from coffee beans, the company says. Each 2.5-ounce shot contains an amount of caffeine that is  comparable to a cup of coffee, but contains zero carbohydrates, calories and sugar.

The Street King launch will be supported by a robust trade advertising and marketing campaign as well as out of home advertising, social media initiatives and special events nationwide, the company says.

50 Cent talks new headphone deal

50 puts on record with AHH why his much hyped headphones deal with Sleek was terminated last week.

“As reported, the license arrangement between my company, G-Unit, and Sleek Audio to produce headphones branded as ‘Sleek by 50′ has been cancelled,” 50 Cent clarified. “Instead, I have established a new company that is developing a complete line of audio accessories, including wireless headphones, offering superior sound quality along with cutting edge technology for all music lovers to enjoy.”

No word yet on when this new brand will launch or what it will be called. From this quote it’s safe to say that 50 had a change of heart about the deal and instead wants more control to get things done his way…which can be assumed a larger revenue split for himself.

50 Cent to Stream “This Is 50 Comedy Series”

We’ve seen a lot of blogs take their brand to bigger heights beyond the blogosphere landing deals with corporate companies and venturing into other endeavors such as the NahRight and Nokia campaign, Respect Magazine and Kodak campaign with RapRadar, RealTalkNY and The Smoking Section and Karen Civil with Beats by Dre. 50 Cent’s online social hub ThisIs50.com is venturing into comedy.

Just like how Russell Simmons brought you “Def Comedy Jam” and Sean “Diddy” Combs presented “Bad Boys of Comedy”, 50 Cent is bringing you “This Is 50 Comedy Series”. Unlike Russell and Diddy whose comedy shows were broadcast on HBO, 50′s comedy series will be broadcast online.   Continue Reading…
