This is one tour we never thought 50 Cent would ever do…shopping malls. Curtis will take part in a five city Macy’s mall tour starting this Thursday in New York to promote his new Power by 50 cologne. The scent is the first marketed and distributed by 50’s new cosmetics line Lighthouse Beauty and will be available exclusively at Macy’s. Schedule of the mall tour is below. 50 Cent x The 50th Law. The BBC interviews 50 Cent during his “50th Law” book press tour. It gets pretty deep though as 50 covers everything from drug dealer intimidation tactics to his own dealings of growing from hood star to global star.

50 Cent x Before I Self Destruct. This could be the new distribution model for top tier artists. Buy the CD and you get a bonus DVD movie. Long time coming on this one due to the multiple times the album has been pushed back. The full length movie is produced by 50’s production company Cheetah Vision and will be packaged in a deluxe release of the album. Via: NahRight

50 Cent x Dead Man Running. 50 Cent’s new film Dead Man Running hits theaters this coming Friday but you won’t be able to see it here in the U.S. The indie low-budget film will only be playing in limited theaters in the U.K. and select parts of Europe. Luckily for you WoooHa readers, the film production company, Revolver Entertainment, was nice enough to send us pics of their official movie poster where 50 Cent is clearly the main marketing hook. 50 Cent shows his desire to further his acting career in his new video “Crime Wave.” The start even uses the Universal Pictures intro as if it’s a movie. Loving the filming style though and at least it shows some originality. We think the video is better than the song though…not a bad thing.

Those who think 50 Cent’s popularity is dwindling might want to take a step back. According to VH1, their recent “Behind the Music” episode highlighting 50 Cent was their highest rated premiere episode since the year 2000. Over 2.2 million viewers tuned in earlier this Tuesday, making VH1 the most watched cable channel during that time frame.

The 50 Cent “Behind The Music” episode beat out other similar recent shows on rappers like Lil Wayne and T.I. 50 haters will fight back though that the show did so well only because The VH1 Hip Hop Honors premiered directly after 50’s “Behind the Music” episode.

50 Cent’s next album “Before I Self Destruct” has been waiting for a release date for some time now. Finally it hits stores on November 24th with not only the CD and the Before I Self Destruct movie that 50 hyped up so much, but NOW it will also come with another movie! That’s right..a CD and two movies. It has been confirmed that the deluxe edition will contain the Jam Master Jay documentary Two Turntables and a Microphone (trailer).

Artists and labels are doing everything they can nowadays to move units and the big trend for the bigger budget artists is including mini-movies. Snoop will be dropping his Malice in Wonderland with a movie as well. Only SoundScan can tell us though if it’s helping sell though.

(UPDATE: Trailer back up for now. Watch while you can.) The promo trailer for The Expendables has just been released by Millenium Films. Movie stars a who’s-who of action stars and tough guys including Stallone, Statham, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Coutere and Terry Crews.

Movie is not without its hip-hop ties as 50 Cent allegedly turned down Terry Crew’s role due to scheduling conflicts. Rumor has it though that 50 was actually dropped and replaced by Crews to fit with the tough guy cast. Movie is set to hit theaters August 20, 2010.

50 Cent x VH1. VH1 has been going pretty strong with their revamped “Behind the Music” specials ranging from Lil Wayne to Michael Vick. Now here is the preview for 50 Cent which airs next Tuesday at 8pm on VH1. Via: BrokenCool & RapRadar

50 Cent x Lighthouse Beauty. Before 50 Cent and his fragrance company Lighthouse Beauty decided on “Power by 50,” with its hydraulic motor looking fragrance bottle designs, there were others. There were many others. 50 and Lighthouse spent months just coming up with concepts for both the name and the very important bottle design for the fragrance before finally landing on “Power.” WoooHa takes you on an exclusive look at some of the other designs that didn’t quite make the cut.

As you can see most of these are designed after weapons such as grenades…perhaps not the best tone these days. These are all official early prototypes directly from Lighthouse Beauty. See the rest of them after the jump…

The Terminator inspired cover to 50’s next album. It’s been pushed back before but currently still scheduled to drop on November 17th.

50 Cent lands on top of the charts once again…just this time selling books and not albums. The New York Times just released their Best Sellers book list for the week and 50 Cent’s recently released “The 50th Law” has made the cut.

The book outlines 50’s strategic advice on how to become successful and was written with “48 Laws of Power” author Robert Green. Looks like all the promoting and TV appearances is paying off though as 50’s new book is currently #5 on the The New York Times’ “Advice, how-to and miscellaneous” bestsellers list.

For once 50 Cent is pretty funny in a viral clip. Vitamin Water has just released this “infomercial” featuring 50 Cent and “Canadian celebrity” Steve Nash. In the vid, 50 talks about how he got paid from his Vitamin Water deal a couple of years back and how he “smells like the vault.” Enjoy.
