Beyonce pushing to star in “Sister Act” remake
According to Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper, Beyonce is itching to play the lead role of Sister Deloris Van Cartier (played by Whoopi Goldberg) in a remake of the now classic Sister Act. The 1992 hit movie has since moved on as a musical stage version currently set to hit New York’s Broadway in 2010. The paper reports:
“Beyonce has asked her representatives to persuade Disney to develop the show into a film vehicle for her. If this comes to pass, she would take on, in musical form, the part Whoopi Goldberg creates in the 1992 ‘Sister Act’ film, although the stage version moves the action from the West Coast to Philadelphia.”
The remake wouldn’t be scheduled until 2011. This could actually be a good move for Beyonce although Whoopi has one thing B has yet to develop….strong comedic timing. If anyone wants to argue with me on that then bring it. No…Obsessed was not a comedy. Via: DrewReports

Beyonce teams up with Hamburger Helper (no joke)
Beyonce x Hamburger Helper. Yes I know. A million jokes can be made out of this latest collaboration but since its to feed the homeless I’m going to lay off it. You can feel free to though in the comments section. Beyonce and General Mills, owner of Hamburger Helper, have officially launched their Feeding America charity campaign whith goal of delivering 3.5 million meals to local food banks. In an official statement Beyonce states:
“Through the work I do with my Survivor Foundation, I’ve been committed to helping families get back on their feet in difficult times,” said Beyonce. “That’s why I’m excited to get involved in this effort to help Feeding America deliver more than 3.5 million meals to local food banks. If we all show a helping hand, together we can make a difference in the fight against hunger.”
The charity tie-in is in conjunction with Beyonce’s “I AM…” tour. What? You thought she just wanted to feed millions of people Hamburger Helper for the fun of it? The current TV ad campaign featuring Beyonce is currently running and you can see it at the official website. No it doesn’t feature her talking to the Hamburger Hand. That would be too good to be true. Props to InMyStateofMind for the heads up.

Beyonce’s “Obsessed” #1 at the Box Office
Beyonce x Obsessed. We figured the urban Fatal Attraction angle would work but no one in Hollywood including WoooHa figured that it would be to the tune of $28 million opening weekend. Considering the movie only cost $20 million to make, it looks like Beyonce finally has that big movie she has been hoping for since Dreamgirls.
According to exit polls 58% of the audience was female which means 42% of the audience were males who were forced to go with their girlfriends but secretly wanted to watch Beyonce vs. Ali Larter. Movie is now projected to make close to $75+ million at the box office but will be tough considering all the Summer blockbusters start coming out this week.

Beyonce x Nintendo. Here is a 7 min. “Making of” video of Beyonce on the set of her new TV ad campaign for Nintendo’s “Rhythm Heaven” DS game. It kinda looks like they are teaching her to use the DS for the very first time. Sell it B!
Beyonce signs ad deal with Nintendo
Beyonce x Nintendo. I tell you now…the video game industry is the next industry that hip-hop and urban music will take over. Jay-Z already already has a video game project in the works, 50 Cent just dropped his second game, and now Nintendo has signed on Beyonce to promote and be featured in ads for the new DS game “Rhythm Heaven.”
Beyonce was recently on the set for the new “Rhythm Heaven” TV ad (photo above) which will hit nationwide in the next coming weeks. Nintendo is no stranger to urban music and hip-hop though. B.o.B.’s (or is it Bobby Ray now?) song “Created a Monster” was most recently in a Nintendo DS TV ad and Rev Run signed on to promote the Wii in various online viral videos. WoooHa will have the Beyonce x Nintendo ad once it comes in. Peace.
Beyonce’s new Samantha Thavasa ad is all legs
Beyonce x Samanth Thavasa. Beyonce teamed up with the Japanese fashion company a couple months back modeling for their new collection featured in print ads and promotional material. You can check out the first ad and video that ran back in November with a famed Japanese actor. This new ad is all Beyonce though…and all leg. Looking good!

New pics of Beyonce in movie “Obsessed”
Beyonce x Obsessed. Beyonce did her thing on stage last night at the Academy Awards and continues to transition to the movie world. Here are some brand new images of B from her next movie, the upcoming thriller Obsessed which is basically Ali Larter vs. Beyonce. Awesome. Movie comes out on April 24th and also stars Idris Elba. Let’s hope it fairs better than her last movie Cadillac Records which was a smaller release but still underperformed at the box office. Check out the rest of the pics from Obsessed after the jump.

Beyonce’s new “color-corrected” L’Oreal ad
Remember all the heat L’Oreal and Beyonce were getting for her ad which clearly lightened up her skin? Well now they have come out with a new Beyonce ad that shows her in a much more “natural” tone.
