Marth Stewart loves to have hip-hop artists on her show to prove her “cool/edgy” side. Past guest have included everyone from Snoop making Cognac mashed potatoes to doing origami with Ludacris. So it was no surprise when Big Boi showed up to “The Martha Stewart Show” and got to the grilling….literally. The two of them grilled some lobster together. Just watching this makes me hungry.

Big Boi x Def Jam. Big Boi has officially jumped ship from his Jive Records deal and will be releasing his long awaited Sir Luscious Left Foot album on Def Jam Records. This reunites Big Boi with LA Reid who was the executive to first sign Big Boi under their group Outkast.Big Boi confirmed the deal via the very official Twitter statement.

Big Boi x Funny or Die. Big Boi and his label Jive Records have teamed up with FunnyOrDie.com to release a series of branded Big Boi animated shorts as part of promoting Big Boi’s upcoming album “Sir Lucious Leftfoot: Son Of Chico Dusty.”

The animated series features the voice of Big Boi as King Henry and features plenty of Outkast and Big Boi producet placement shots throughout as well. Early reaction has been mixed but as a marketer I’m digging the integration of advertising and content on this.

Big Boi went on record yesterday with his Dungeon Family crew stating that they are all working on a Dungeon Family movie together. That’s news to me. Also because I had no idea that the Dungeon Fam was still around and on good terms with Big Boi. No word on what this movie is about but once we get details you know we will deliver.
