Damon Dash admits to owing the IRS $2 million in back taxes. In an interview with Sway on Shade 45 he explains the financial setback.

Damon Dash x Roc-A-Fell Records. In a recent interview with MTV, Damon Dash talks about his plans to relaunch the famed Roc-A-Fell Records that he originally built with Jay-Z. According to Dame’s reasoning, the Roc-A-Fella name is part of Def Jam property and since Jay-Z no longer represents Def Jam it is free for Damon to use. Not sure how legally sound that is or what obstacles Jay-Z will throw his way to prevent this from happening but at least Damon is trying to make moves and resurrect his music career. Via: RR

Looks like it was a pretty good event and it’s also great to see Damon Dash extending his creative talents outside of music. Yea I know we hate on him sometimes but we respect the hustle. Estelle x Rachel Roy. I’m sure with Dame’s past success and his money that he can get a lot of ladies…but WoooHa digs his soon-to-be ex-wife for her business sense, hustle and classiness. Now Rachel Roy gets ready to expand her fashion empire by signing on Estelle to launch a jewelry collection under the Rachel Roy line. Check the video for the business details. We might know jewelry but we know business. Respect the hustle. Dame can take some notes.

Damon Dash x Dash Gallery. Talk about starving artist. If only Dame had some of his ex’s Rachel Roy clothing money. Nope. Instead Dame is getting into the art business like every other rapper these days with the launch of the Dash Gallery. The gallery will be located in Dash’s current building in the Tribeca neighborhood and is set to open to the public on Feb. 19.

Opening night is set to feature works by contemporary artists like Bobby Castaneda, Jeremy Wagner, and Hector Ruiz….none of which we are too hip to know about. No word on who the DJs will be or more important what type of appetizers they will serve. My bet is on the crab cakes. Dame loves crab cakes.

BlakRoc x Chevrolet. BlakRoc, the album collaboration between The Black Keys and artists including Mos Def, Q-Tip, RZA, Raekwon, Pharoahe Monch, Jim Jones, and more was released this past Friday (yes Black Friday) available exclusively online through iTunes. The BlakRoc project was coordinated through Damon Dash and as part of the promotional and marketing efforts Dash has teamed up with Chevrolet for a limited edition BlakRoc Camaro. Details as follows:

From the ground up, the BlakRoc Camaro has been equipped with sleek, stylish accents that tie in with the BlakRoc brand. Starting with the BR logo inlayed front and center. Blacking it out turns up the heat. The windows are tinted, the taillights are smoked, and even the Chevy bow tie goes dark to complete the look. The Black on Black classic combination subtly comes to life with flat black racing stripes front to back with the BlakRoc logo inlayed in metallic on the hood and rear spoiler.Interior includes the BlakRoc logo embedded in custom design kick plates and black on black BR logo custom embroidered on center console.
