Eminem’s “Recovery” First to Sell A Million Digital Downloads

According to Nielsen SoundScan, Eminem’s ”Recovery”  becomes the first album to sell 1 million downloads in the United States.

The rapper’s manager, Paul Rosenberg, added “We are thrilled to congratulate Eminem on the history-making digital sales success of ‘Recovery.’ Over the years we’ve made a concerted effort to engage Em’s online fan base so this achievement is especially rewarding. Eminem made an amazing album with Recovery and the fans responded in record numbers.”

Antoine Fuqua drops Tupac movie for Eminem movie “Southpaw”


Director Antoine Fuqua has officially dropped one hip-hop artist movie for another. Fuqua has been one of the main supporters of bringing the Tupac biopic to life but has officially left the film for Eminem’s boxing flick Southpaw. Movie tells the story of a left-handed welterweight (Eminem) whose quick rise to stardom turns into a life of trials and tribulations that he must overcome to reclaim his crown. VIDEO: Chrysler & Beats by Dre Press Conference

As previously reported Chrysler has partnered up with Beats by Dre bringing the Beats audio technology into 2012 Chrysler 300S vehicles. This press footage explains the partnership and also shows that Dr. Dre will be featured in a commercial to promote both brands.

PICS: Eminem teams with Chrysler for clothing line


Eminem continues to expand upon his recent endorsement and partnership deal with Chrysler that kicked off with the now epic Super Bowl ad from earlier this year. Eminem and his Marshall Mathers Foundation have recently announced a clothing line with Chrysler simply called “Imported From Detroit.” As the message states, the clothing line is all about bringing awareness to Detroit as proceeds to the clothing line go to Detroit local charities including The Marshall Mathers Foundation.

“We are very happy to partner with the Chrysler brand in supporting the local communities,” Paul Rosenberg, Eminem’s manager, stated. “The Chrysler brand and The Marshall Mathers Foundation share a parallel commitment to give back to the City of Detroit.”

The “Imported From Detroit” clothing line is now available at the official Chrysler website which includes t-shirts, hoodies and more.
