Various online sources including TheYBF are stating that Eve’s relaunch of her Fetish clothing line are coming to an end due to “legal reasons.” WoooHa pulled our sources together and were only able to get the same reply and that Eve wanted to proceed with her fashion label but due to “unforseen legal reasons” the clothing line must be shut down. Yes we are happy we got a statement, no we don’t believe the statement.

Eve relaunched the label back in 2008 (the original Fetish launched in 2003) with distribution through online site Dr. Jays and Signature Apparel but due to the ill-timed release in conjunction with the economic recession, the clothing line failed to reach profitability despite a clean more sophisticated look. Online retailers will continue to sell existing Fetish inventory but the clothing line will no longer continue and operations will be shut down. More as we get it…but we doubt it’s legal reasons.

Eve x Whip It. No it’s not a movie about getting high off empty whipped cream cans…it’s even better…a movie about hot girls in roller skates beating the crap out of each other. Eve makes her first U.S. film appearance in awhile now as she plays a roller derby player by the name of Rosa Sparks. Eve x Whip It. No it’s not a movie starring Devo and Eve. The Pitbull in a Skirt (is she even called that anymore) has a nice role in the upcoming movie Whip It which is directed and stars Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page (Juno). Movie is about roller derby girls who kick ass on skates. Movie hits theaters October 9th.

Eve x Glee. You might remember back in the early 2000’s when Eve had her own TV show….well now she’s back on the small screen although just for a much shorter time period. WoooHa can confirm that Eve will be making her return to TV on the FOX show “Glee” which is about highschoolers and their glee clubs. Eve will play the glee club coach of a rival school and will appear in at least two episodes. Yay Eve.

Eve x Whip It!. It’s been a minute since we have seen Eve up on the bigscreen but she is set to make her return in the Drew Barrymore female rollerderby comedy Whip It! Think The ATL meets A League of Her Own as an indie-rock loving misfit (Barrymore) finds a way of dealing with her small-town misery after she discovers a roller derby league in nearby Austin.

That’s right. Get ready to see Eve in skimpy clothes, crushing other girls while on roller skates. Wow. I’m there Her name in the movie? Rosa Sparks. Movie is set to release October 9, 2009 and is currently filming in Michigan.

Eve has been working hard relaunching her Fetish clothing line. Unlike the tons of artists who have put out a fashion line only to have it fail, Eve realized her mistakes with the initial 2003 launch and shut the company down. Now five years later things seem to be on the upswing. She has a great distribution deal with Dr. Jays for online retail and a team of designers who focus on quality with a sexy look. The work has paid off as Eve’s clothing line was also recently featured in The NY Post.

She even talked about her previous attempts at launching the label to the paper. “These are the stuff I have in my closet.  The first two times I supported it, I didn’t really want to wear it.  And this time around, it feels good when I see other people in it.  Or if my friends are like, ‘Let me get that jacket’.” (Source)

Eve first launched her clothing line “Fetish” during the height of her career in 2003 with a junior’s and women’s line featuring her trademark “paws.” After a couple of years, Eve shut down “Fetish” because of a lack of direction to take the brand. Fast forward to 2008 and Eve’s “Fetish” is now officially relaunched through partners Dr. Jays and Signature Apparel clothing line. Eve is now officially ready to relaunch her Fetish clothing line. After launching the line in 2003, numerous production and distribution issues limited Eve’s success and the collection was eventually shelved.
