Lady Gaga gives the real details as to why the Fame Kills tour with Kanye West was canceled. Something about her really intrigues me…but in the way mullet haircuts and Sam Cassell’s head shape intrigue me. Although Kanye will be losing out on the tour revenue and the high margin merchandise at least he still is making money from his Glow in the Dark tour.

Kanye West x Glow in the Dark. Kanye is trying to squeeze out every last dollar that his Glow in the Dark tour can bring him. Now he actually has a trailer hyping up the “Glow in the Dark” coffee table book that is currently out now at Amazon.

Kanye West x Through the Wire. Mr. West continues to dip into other revenue streams by hitting the book industry with his coffee table book “Glow in the Dark” and now the illustrated book “Through the Wire.” The concept of the book from Simon & Schuster is as follows:

This is a rare partnership between two geniuses at the top of their crafts — Kanye West, who was named “the smartest man in hip-hop” by Time magazine, and Bill Plympton, an Academy Award-nominated animator, cartoonist, and illustrator.

Through the Wire is a graphic memoir that illustrates the lyrics of twelve Kanye West songs to tell his story, from his decision to drop out of college to pursue his dreams in music, through his days spent folding chinos at the Gap while struggling at night to make a name as a producer, through the pivotal car accident that eventually set him on the course to stardom and the epiphany of realizing exactly who he had become.

Plympton illustrates each of the songs in detail, his vision of Kanye’s world. The songs are annotated with explanations of the references in the songs, biographical components that illuminate the lyrics, and their meaning on a deeply personal level.

Kanye West x Pastelle. Finally some new pics and info on Kanye’s long-awaited Pastelle Clothing line. Here are some look book shots of the new collection although it’s nothing new since Kanye has already worn most of these in public. But STILL no word yet on when the collection hits stores, distribution or pricing. And of course the website still has not changed.

Kanye West x Glow in the Dark. True to his word, Kanye West will be releasing a coffee table photo book centered around his Glow In The Dark tour. The hardcover book includes over 400 photos, intro from Spike Jonze and a CD with exclusive unreleased music and interviews.

The headline pretty much says it all. Everyone in the industry knew the poor ticket sales for the “Fame Kills” tour were blamed on Kanye backlash which is exactly why Lady Gaga was so quick to announce her own tour right after “Fame Kills” was canceled. Now even industry insider HITS is finally stating the obvious:

Many are attributing anemic ticket sales for the stillborn Kanye West-Lady Gaga tour to a sizable Kanye backlash following his latest embarrassment during the VMAs and to general over-exposure. Lady Gaga’s headlining tour is already generating brisk demand.

At least Kanye is enjoying his time off by eating some of that delicious Cheesecake Factory chicken. Who wants to bet that Kanye’s publicists are trying to get him a duet with Taylor Swift?

NBA 2k10 finally hits stores this Tuesday. Aside from the amazing game play and the loaded sound track, as part of the new Streetball feature you can now ball it up as an array of current hip-hop artists. Kanye West, Twista, Asher Roth, The Game, David Banner and Pitbull are just a handful of the current artists that you can play and watch them go against NBA players.

Fame kills the “Fame Kills” tour as TMZ reveals the tour has been canceled due to poor ticket sales and the fact that Lady Gaga and Kanye were butting heads on issues of production. Perhaps when you put two of music’s biggest flamboyant performers on the same tour one could predict this might happen.  Regardless, Lady Gaga will be putting a smaller tour together playing at small venues while Kanye will think of the next way he can make an ass of himself.

Kanye starts the buzz for his upcoming tour with Lady Gaga by dropping this :30 teaser ad. Considering both of these outrageous personalities, this could be quite the memorable tour.

The Coca-Cola Company, owners of Sprite, will be pushing their new Sprite Green soft drink with a strong urban campaign. Sprite Green is labeled as “the new reduced-calorie Sprite line extension, naturally sweetened, reduced, low and zero-calorie beverages sweetened with TRUVIA natural sweetener” and currently available in major markets. Sounds like the equivalent of Coke Zero. Whatever it is, the Sprite Green urban campaign launch started in a big way as it teamed up with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label for one of many upcoming events.

The event launched in Chicago, home of G.O.O.D. Music with performances by Common, Kid Cudi, GLC and everyone else on the label except for Kayne. Word is that Sprite Green will continue their partnership with various G.O.O.D. Music label artists as they go from coast to coast with various events and roll out the soft drink in more cities. Despite his recent Taylor Swift incident, there is no denying that Kanye makes music that the masses and the media love. The annual BET Music Award nominations were just released and Kanye leads the pack with nine total nominations. The show will actually be in Atlanta this year and will air later on BET October 28th. You can be sure that Kanye will do SOMETHING at this awards show to try and upstage himself. Maybe interrupt 50 Cent to see if 50 would really punch him on stage. Many would love to see that. UPDATED: Kanye kinda apologizes on his blog. – Talk about an ass. He might be a genius musician but Kanye West gives more proof about what a complete jerk he is and his complete disrespect for everyone but himself. The video says it all…poor Taylor Swift never knew what hit her as Kanye steals her mic and disrespects her in front of the world.
