Kobe and Robert Rodriguez officially released their Black Mamba mini-movie yesterday during All-Star weekend. This is part of the overall Nike “Black Mamba” marketing campaign. Kanye actually has some acting chops in this flick. Good a playing a power hungry angry man.

Back in August of 2008, Kanye West started his fast food business venture by opening 10 Fatburger fast food joints in Chicago. Apparently the So Cal rooted chain doesn’t translate as well to the Chi-town folk as Kanye is already shutting down one of the restaurants. Yes, his other chains are still running but it’s definitely not a good sign to have a fast food joint close within two years. Franchise officials stated poor financial performance as the reason for the closure. At least hip-hop fast food fans can head over to Iowa now for some Flavor Flav fried chicken.

Its also hard to be humble when your  face has been immortalized on the dial of an expensive timepiece. Tiret created a custom watch for Kanye West. The bezel is lined with diamonds and the dial which has Kayne’s face outlined with a combo of white, yellow, brown, and black diamonds.  Guess Kanye doesn’t need an iPhone 4 to have any face time.

Kanye must be taking some Marketing 101 classes. First lesson? Controversy = publicity. In this recent interview with the New Yorker, artist George Condo reveals the art he created for Kanye was purposely done to be banned.

A couple of weeks before my first visit to Condo’s studio, Kanye West, the rapper, asked him to do a painting for the cover of his new album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. West said that he had seen paintings by Condo, and wanted to collaborate with him. According to Condo, he also said that he was looking for “something that will be banned.”

For those who don’t remember, Kanye ranted on Twitter that his album cover was banned by WalMart. The super store then responded back that they did no such thing. Now we know the truth. Check the full interview over here.
