Here is the last piece of the puzzle for Converse’s “3 Artists. 1 Song” summer marketing campaign. Kid Cudi along with artists Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast and Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend drop the video “All Summer.” Watch it, enjoy, then go buy some Converse.

As part of Converse’s Summer “Three Artists. One Song” promotion we mentioned yesterday, Kid Cudi gets in front of the camera for this short film shot in Cleveland which goes into how Cudi’s rap persona was born.

Converse and Kid Cudi have agreed on terms for a promotional partnership that will have the emcee at the forefront of the shoe manufacturer’s Summer 2010 campaign called “Three Artists. One Song.” The nucleus of this initiative is a brand new, all original track featuring Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast, Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend and Kid Cudi that will be released this July and available to music fans globally via free download at converse.com and authorized Converse websites around the world.

In addition to collaborating on the track, each of the artists also participated in the creation of the music video, which will be released later this summer. Cudi will also be featured in digital content for Converse in the coming weeks. Cudi most recently landed a television commercial (see TV ad) with Vitamin Water and has been renewed to star in a second season of HBO’s “How To Make it in America.”

Kid Cudi x How To Make It In America. Maybe Cudi will never release his next album as his debut TV show “How To Make It In America” has been renewed for a second season on HBO. This is big news these days as TV shows are getting more and more difficult to be picked up for a following season.

In return, Cudi will most likely see an increase in his paycheck for Season 2. Considering the low sales of his first album, and new direction of the second album, it’s nice to know he has an alternative revenue stream to fall back on.
