Before Old Spice’s now infamous “The Man” marketing campaign (video), they went straight to the hip-hop game and enlisted LL Cool J to do this series of ads back in 2008. Most considered it a far reach for a campaign and it was quickly panned.

As part of the viral promotions for HALO: Reach which just hit stores this past Tuesday, Microsoft enlisted Snoop Dogg, LL Cool J, that guy who plays “Chuk” and a very surprising Wayne Newton for this fun viral vid. Hopefully they get Eminem vs. Dre when Call of Duty: Black Ops hits.

LL Cool J x Sarah Palin: Real American Stories. I think this already made the major press but for those of you who don’t read mainstream news, LL Cool J was surprised to see he was going to be interviewed for an upcoming Sarah Palin TV show called “Real American Stories.”
Event though LL saw the ads running, he actually never was interviewed or agreed to do the interview. Instead the network took an old interview from 2008 and put it in their current TV ad shown here.
“Fox lifted an old interview I gave in 2008 to someone else & are misrepresenting to the public in order to promote Sarah Palins Show. WOW.”
You would think the producers of the show would kinda run this stuff by the people they hope to interview. Regardless a public statement has been made that LL will no longer be part of the show…ehh…that’s because he never was to begin with.

The second greatest hits album for LL hits stores December 8th. Full track listing after the jump…
LL Cool J x NCIS: Los Angeles. It has been awhile since LL has had a hit single but at least he can now claim he has a hit TV show…and these days…that brings in A LOT more money than the music. LL’s show “NCIS: Los Angeles” has gone through three episodes now but is already CBS’ #1 program of the year drawing over 17 million viewers per episode.
CBS is rewarding the show by picking it up for a full season which ensures LL gets his hefty pay check for a bit longer. Given the success of the original “NCIS,” it looks like LL could be making CBS home for awhile.
More publicity for the NCIS spinoff TV show starring LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell. This video though takes us behind the scenes on the making of LL’s latest track called NCIS (No Crew Is Superior).
As reported a couple of days ago, LL Cool J has released the song called ”NCIS“ as a promo to his upcoming spin-off “NCIS: Los Angeles” where he stars alongside Chris O’Donnell. Now here is the video complete with footage from the show. Via: NahRight
