Master P x Better Black Television. Been awhile since I heard any update on Master P’s venture into launching his Better Black Television (BBTV) network but AHH has the inside scoop on the latest. While most would consider BBTV a direct competitor to BET, Master P insists he didn’t create as a response to BET.

“I don’t think it’s a response, but it fills a void…it’s going to show people where the future is going because a lot of us don’t want to die gangbangers in the hood. Some of us do want to get older and be around to raise their kids.”

Reason for the lack of news in regards to BBTV is because Master P has been busy ironing out the regulatory issues with creating a television network, establishing his programming and even gathering together a group of high powered board of directors which includes Denzel Washington, NAACP executive director Vicangelo Bullock, Hip-Hop founder Kool Herc, cable industry veteran Professor Sal Martino, and real estate mogul Curtis Oakes.

BBTV is set to launch in 2010. If Percy can really pull this off he will beat the rest of the hip-hop mogul posse (Diddy, Kanye, 50, Jay-Z, etc) in being the first to have his own TV network. Check the website for more details.

Master P x No Excuses. Here is a preview clip of the VH1 show “No Excuses” starring Master P. This is the same show we talked about a week back in which Percy Miller tries to help a reformed gang member get back on the right track to life.

Master P x VH1. Master P might have made his millions living his thug life but now that he has “matured” he wants to make sure gang members can get back on the straight and narrow. VH1 will premiere the show “No Excuses” in which Master P helps a former gang member named Torrie from Los Angeles reform his life.

“Torrie won’t step up, get a legitimate job and be a role model for his son as his excuses have held him back” states the VH1 press release. “His complaints of having no money, no car, and no way of getting to job interviews have led girlfriend Keisha to make a desperate plea to Master P for help. Keisha fears that Torrie’s unemployment and lack of motivation will leave them broke and homeless. If Torrie can’t get his act together, Keisha will be through with him for good.”

Show is set to air on October 26th 10:30pm with Master P also taking care of exec producer duties. As of press time there are no plans for “No Excuses” as a regularly scheduled show.

Percy Miller x Guranteed Success. Percy makes sure that everyone remembers Jay-Z isn’t the only one with a book deal. Percy dropped his “how to succeed in life and business” book called “Guaranteed Success” back in 2007 but it’s getting a fresh new look now considering the economy…and Percy’s need for more of that money. C-Murder x CoreyMillerInnocenceFund.com. Corey Miller (AKA C-Murder AKA younger brother to multi-millionaire Master P) is asking for your money. Politely. Through a website. Apparently C-Muder’s current trial for murder has been taking a huge hit to his check book and he can’t afford to pay for his defense. So he has set up the website CoreyMillerInnocenceFund.com to help find 100 people to each donate $1,000 to his trial.

A couple things came to my mind as I saw this story on AHH. First, he should change his name to C-Innocence, and second, does he really think he can find 100 random people to give him $1,000 each? Why bother? Just call up your big bro Corey! Or even bum some dough off Romeo. And last thing…Twitter campaign Corey! It’s the hottness. Let Diddy pump it up for you….Let’s go people!

Master P x Snickers. Updated with correct video. Parent company Mars has just released this new Snickers ad with Master P. This is all part of Snickers’ new ad campaign which takes a play on a celeb’s name and turns it Snickers related. In this one it’s all about Master P-Nut. In another one (shown after the jump) it’s Patrick (Ch)Ewing dunking on some poor kid.

In an effort to share his knowledge as a businessman and entrepreneur, Percy Miller has just launched a network marketing site that will guide its users to becoming multi-millionaires just like him. With the launch of yourinvestmenttravel.com, Miller states that anyone can be a millionaire with just $500 to start off and a computer. Does this pitch sound like one of those infomercials that runs at 1am while watching ESPN? Because upon furthur exploration of the site, that’s exactly what it is…a network/telemarketing site where you must pay to become trained and sell vacation packages.

We at WoooHa, Inc. have covered many of Percy’s quests for good. From his children’s books to his affordable Wal-Mart clothing and we applaud his efforts to improve his community. But this newest venture, while perfectly legal, just seems to take advantage of the millions of people out there who are looking to get rich quick and don’t know any better. For a flat fee of $199 and a monthly charge of $19.99 a month, you get the ability to run your own travel agency and sell travel packages through the company that Miller has partnered with, World Ventures. Check out the real website that Percy is leading you to. Everyone knows, the only people who get rich quick in these types of business models, are the ones running it. Is Percy really concerned about helping others make money with this website? I doubt it. If he really were concerned, he would offer a site that has real financial advice, not a get rich quick scheme where he is collecting royalties for every victim referral he brings in. Shame on you Percy!

It seems as if Percy is trying to get into every business possible and seeing what sticks. First he exec directs a movie about mutant pigs (see Pig People), then he launches his own cable TV network (see Better Black TV), then introduces a clothing line to Wal-Mart (see P. Miller Clothing) and now his latest venture called Miller Peaches. No it’s not a fruit flavored beer, it’s Percy’s new women’s clothing line which will retail between $10-$20 dollars and specializes in stretch denim for women with curvier physiques.

“P. Miller truly is a complete lifestyle brand, which now includes P.Miller Designs for young men, Miller Peaches for young women, Kids, Shoes and Accessories lines,” Miller said in a statement. “This brand seeks to clothe the entire family from head to toe and target the African American and Hispanic minority customers and make history by being a quality, affordable, urban lifestyle brand for the community.”

Miller Peaches will be sold at Wal-Marts across the nation alongside his P. Miller clothing line. He is also aggressively looking for The Miller Peaches Great American Girl as a spokes model which will be part of the marketing campaign.

More proof that Percy Miller (The Artist Formerly Known as Master P) and his son Romeo are actually starring in a horror movie about mutant pigs. I posted The Pig People trailer a couple weeks back but some people thought it was a joke or a fake. Once again I kid you not. The Pig People stars the MIller father and son duo along with R&B artist Colby O’Donis about a group of mutant half pig-half people who have an appetite for human flesh. The Pig People stars Miller, his son Romeo and Colby O’Donis and is about a group of teens who go missing in the woods when they investigate the deadly legend of the Pig People…mutated half human, half pigs who have an appetite for human flesh. Fresh off the announcement that Master P would officially go by his given name Percy Miller to sound more professional, Percy just announced today the launch of his new cable network called BBTV (Better Black Television). The goal of BBT is to provide “positive content for a black and brown culture” according to the company which will air family-friendly programming.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the network will launch in 2009 and will include a “wide range of scripted, unscripted and news programming, including drama and comedy series, movies, animation, reality, politics, sports and entertainment news, children’s educational and teen programming, as well as responsible hip-hop music and videos.”

Although BBTV sounds very similar to current network BET, Percy insists that the two networks have a great relationship and even tributes BET founder Bob Johnson. “I remember him telling me back in the day that if you wanted to know real estate, you’ve got to hang out with real estate investors. If you wanted to know sports, you’ve got to hang out with athletes. I wanted to know TV, so I hung out with Bob and learned the TV game from one of the best in the business.”

Production for the various TV shows on the BBTV network has already started in California, NY, Louisiana and Florida. Check out the proposed slate of shows here:

Master P was the young thug. P.Miller was the young adult. Percy Miller is the businessman. Taking a cut out of the “I Change My Name Every Year” Diddy playbook, Master P has officially announced he is changing his name to his given name of Percy Miller for business and professional reasons.

Percy states “I‚Äôve branched out into so many different arenas that range from being the first African-American to have a clothing line at Wal-Mart, to writing books, and speaking on Capitol Hill, but all that gets overshadowed because I come from the hip-hop industry. To his credit, Miller has definitely made it a priority to capitalize on business opportunities such as his Wal-Mart clothing deal that will offer urban styles for budget prices and he even has been developing a children’s cartoon character called Gee Gee the Magic Giraffe with his son Romeo.

Wal-Mart and P. Miller Clothing have announced a partnership where Master P will create a “budget” streetwear line exclusively for Wal-Mart. Apparently P. Miller Clothing is available at department stores like Macy’s but for higher end prices. The “budget” alternative at Wal-Mart will instead feature t-shirts for $10 which usually run between $45 and $70 at the mall. Jeans will run for $20 a pair, which usually cost $100. And if that’s not enough, Master P has plans to release a shoe, fragrance and women’s line as well. Kids don’t need to worry anymore about being bullied at school for wearing old clothes. Likewise, parents don’t need to choose between filling up the gas tank or filling up the closet. We’re helping families dress fresh for less.” Dress Fresh for Less…that should be Ross’ new tagline.
