N.E.R.D. x Pharrell. As a faithful fan of N.E.R.D. I’m a bit shocked that they agreed to film and perform for “90210.” As a business man though it’s clear that Pharrell wants his band to reach a much broader demographic with the addition of a female singer and, well, agreeing to do a show that targets females 13-34. If only Brenda and Brandon were here to see this now.
Is N.E.R.D.’s appearance on “90210″ alienating their current fan base or helping expand it?

Pharrell x Domeau & Peres. It really looks like there is nothing that Pharrell can’t do. Yesterday he appeared in a short film, and now he has just finished designing a bicycle. Yes…a bicycle. P has teamed up with Domeau & Peres, the same design house that he created these leg chairs with, for this highly exclusive fixed gear one-of-one bike.
The bike comes in all yellow with premium leather trim and is currently on display at the W Lounge, a special space announcing the upcoming W Hotel Paris. Seems like there is nothing that Pharrell is not willing to create these days. Perhaps the music is just getting boring to him. More pics after the jump…

Last week Pharrell gave a sneak peek at one of his three sBillionaire Boys Club t-shirt collaboration with Jay-Z’s “The Blueprint 3″ album release. Now you can check all three of the shirts that are currently available in Japan (but will be making their way to the US) for $72 a pop. On Pharrell’s BBC blog , he reveals plans for the BBC line to release three limited edition t-shirts in celebration of Jay-Z’s “Blueprint 3″ album. The shirts will be available next week but Pharrell gives us an early look at one of them.
Pharrell has collaborated with The GAP for their 40th Anniversary limited edition collection called “Do The Right Thing.” The collection is designed by Pharrell and is made of recycled fabric from Pharrell’s own textile company called Bionic Yarn. Pharrell x Despicable Me. Pharrell is getting paid a handsome fee from Universal Pictures for creating and performing the title track to the upcoming 3-D animated movie Despicable Me. The film has a Pixar feel to it and Universal is betting big that it delivers like a Pixar flick as well. Steve Carrel plays the title character Gru who likes to steal big things like the Egyptian Pyramids and next the moon. But then Kid Cudi tells him not to steal the moon….ok ok….three little girls convince him not to. The end.
Pharrell continues to make more moves into film score and soundtrack work. He is still tagged as exec producer on the live-action Voltron film where he will also score the music with the classic Neptunes sound. Check the trailer to Despicable Me here with the title track song over at Nah Right.
Our new feature addition to the I WANT THAT posts. It’s called I DON’T WANT THAT and it’s all about the hip-hop products we DON’T WANT but it’s so bad it’s good. Like these new Ice Cream pants designed by Pharrell. Yea…I don’t want that…especially for that $295 price tag.
Looks like Pharrell is giving Kanye a run for his money in the custom watch category. Here is a shot of his brand new gold encrusted G-Shock which is a collaboration model with Bape. On his blog over at Honeyee.com Pharrell wrote the following about his new watch:

Pharrell X BBC & Ice Cream. Skateboard P can’t deny a modeling job…especially when it’s for his own clothing labels. His Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream clothing lines released the new Season 9 Look Book and Mr. Williams is prominently featured. Here are some select photos of him from the shoot. Pharrell wears many hats these days. Singer, song-writer, producer, furiture designer, candle maker and now advertising executive. Pharrell has been working with marketing and promotions company Cornerstone and in this interview with Billboard he talks about the future of advertising and where he sees it going himself.
Pharrell x Ice Cream / BBC. Pharrell recently spoke with Complex Magazine and gave them a sneak preview at the new Ice Cream / BBC Fall 2009 collection. Unfortunately he did not give any more details about the upcoming Ice Cream TV show that we broke last week. Pharrell did mention that BBC will have a new theme called “Space Hunt” inspired by equestrian horse racing.
‚ÄúI really like the hunting aspect of the collection, we did t-shirts, blazers and bags of the ‚ÄòSpace Hunt‚Äô stuff” he told Complex.
