Rihanna blossoms in this commercial for her first fragrance Reb’l Fleur, the ad was created by Droga5, a Manhattan agency. Rihanna’s Reb’l Fleur will be arriving in department stores in February, a 1.7 oz. bottle will sell for $49. The singer tells People magazine what inspired the fragrance’s name was that her grandmother  in Barbados used to call her Rebel Flower. If your wondering what took her so long to develop her fragrance she states,

“Over the years, I layered many different scents to get something that was truly my own,” she says. “But I wanted…something that said ‘Rihanna was here.’ Something delicious and special, a fragrance with subtle hints that linger and leave a sexy memory.”

Since you can’t touch RiRi now you can smell like her. Here is the first official look at “Reb’l Fluer” perfume by Rihanna which is set to release early next year. Surprised Rihanna hasn’t jumped on the fragrance industry cash cow earlier. Successful fragrance launches from Diddy to Mariah Carey have netted them millions in profits.

Rihanna releases the video to “What’s My Name” featuring Drake…the single is currently number one on the Billboard charts. Her fifth studio album Loud hits stores November 16.

RiRi gets in on the book business with the official release of her first pub…granted it’s very little words and more about the images that capture Rihanna’s journey to fame and all the trials, tribulations and successes that come with it. Here she is at the 5th Avenue Barnes & Noble in NY for an autograph signing and a little book release party hype. Of course the self-titled book is also available at Amazon.

Jay-Z is definitely a business, man. He has managed to expand his RocNation Management business by signing the hottest female artist around…no not Taylor Swift…Rihanna. RiRi told the Associated Press in an official statement that she’s “excited to take the next step in my career.” As part of the deal, Rihanna will also be launching her own business group called Rihanna Entertainment which she states will “merge all of her businesses, including music, film, fragrance fashion and book ventures.” It should have been called RiRi Entertainment, or at least EyEy Entertainment or something a bit more…creative? Regardless, Jay and Rihanna about to take over the urban entertainment world.
