DMC is partnering up with the local help as he starts to guest blog for New York Apple computer dealer Tekserve. It’s a strange promotion to say the least but hey…it’s getting publicity and people got to eat. Check it out over at DMCwantstoKnow.com.

Even though the 50 Cent exec produced documentary Two Turntables and A Microphone: The Life and Death of Jam Master Jay is included in 50 Cent’s deluxe version of Before I Self Destruct, you can actually just buy the documentary by itself on December 1st. 50 Cent and crew have actually sold off the distribution rights to Image Entertainment when it hits DVD. You can pre order now at Amazon.

So even though 50 might have only sold 120K+ units of his album, at least he is making money selling off distribution rights to his other properties. Unfortunately there are no takers for his Before I Self Destruct movie to be sold as a separate DVD…at least not yet. Check the new official trailer after the jump…

Although RUN DMC plans to take their life story to the big screen with the movie Tougher Than Leather, that’s not stopping Rev Run & DMC from teaming up with Tom Cruise’s film producing partner Paula Wagner to bring their story to Broadway of all places. Variety reports today that RUN DMC and Wagner are forming a partnership to develop a new original musical based on the lives of RUN DMC.

Paula says, “I feel their story lends itself perfectly to the stage. This project has been a passion of mine for some time and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with them.”

Jam Master Jay’s death would also be part of the play. A Broadway stage play about a rap group and murdered member could be risky considering the demographic makeup of who attend, but Wagner has the ability to push this into the mainstream if done correctly.

Rev Run and his wife Justine have been getting a pretty hefty paycheck for their MTV reality show “Run’s House” for the past couple of years. Now it’s looking like they are taking further advantage of their popularity as a “down to earth” family as the couple have released a book called “Take Back Your Family: How to Raise Respectful and Loving Kids in a Dysfunctional World.” Whew! That was a long title.

2 Turntables and a Microphone is a documentary surrounding the murder of Run-Dmc’s DJ, Jam Master Jay. After 7 years there has still been no arrest. The film features commentary from 50 Cent, Russell Simmons, Rev Run, Common, Ice T and others as they share their memories of the DJ and on the moment they recieved the shocking news of his death.¬† No release date on the film as of yet but it will be coming soon.
