Snoop unveils his $300K wax figure

Snoop Dogg x Madame Tussauds. Snoop Dogg unveiled himself…ahem…the $300K wax version of himself yesterday at Madame Tussauds in Vegas. He becomes the third hip-hop artist to be immortalized in wax behind Pac and BIG. It would have been nice if he wore his LBC black hoodie from “Nothin But G Thang” though. That’s classic right there.
Snoop Dogg gets waxed

Snoop Dogg x Madame Tussauds. Snoop is getting his entire body waxed…literally. The D-O-Double-G will be the next hip-hop star (Biggie and Pac before him) to be featured in Madame Tussauds famed Wax Museum. These pics show the processes that the wax Snoop has to go through. I’m gonna have nightmares. Not to be blasphemous, but for some reason this pic reminds me of what Snoop would look like as Jesus.

Snoop Dogg x Dogg After Dark. I’m telling you again, Snoop’s MTV show “Dogg After Dark” is entry into the talk show biz. Now artists are starting to break news directly on his show. I just don’t know where…or who.
Snoop steals Oscar from “Slumdog Millionaire” campaign
Snoop Dogg x Snoop Dogg Millionaire. Snoop has always been down with the trends and what’s hot in Hollywood so it’s no surprise that his new single and marketing campaign is all built around the Academy Award Winning Slumdog Millionaire. Snoop has just released his new single “Snoop Dogg Millionaire” which even features Tanvi Shah (Oscar winner for Best Original Song, “Jai Ho” from Slumdog Millionaire) to create the song. Check the song from the YouTube video and photo that Snoop’s reps just sent me. “Snoop Dogg Millionaire” will be from his first album released by MTV.

Just a couple months after partnering up with Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier for his newest seasonal release of Rich & Infamous, Snoop Dogg is already facing financial hardships with the clothing line. Snoop’s MTV show is launching pad for late night talk show gig

Snoop Dogg x Dogg After Dark. Early buzz on “Dogg After Dark” is that Snoop’s personality and ability to pull in top talent is exactly what the major networks are looking for in regards to full fledged late night talk show success. Could “Late Night with Calvin” be in the works? It’s all rumor at this point, but Snoop really pushed for his MTV variety show as part of his overall MTV deal and is enjoying being in front of the camera more and more, and he’s planning for even more.
His ability to pull musical talent from all genres, his famous personality and connections with Hollywood celebs all point to there are bigger plans for Snoop in the future in regards to a late night talk show. So sit down Leno and Letterman…Snoop is coming for ya. In tomorrow’s episode of “Dogg After Dark” Snoop brings in guests Ice Cube, Mike Epps and Fallout Boy.
Yeti says: Hey if Arsenio and Magic Johnson could land a major talk show why can’t Snoop? I’d love to see the house band of The Dogg Pound and Nate Dogg.
Snoop teams w/ Christian Audigier for “Rich & Infamous” clothing

Snoop Dogg x Christian Audigier. Snoop Dogg has been busy making major deals with MTV and Skull Candy headphones but that still hasn’t stopped him from aggressively pushing his clothing line Rich & Infamous. In fact, the deal with MTV just gives him more opportunities and exposure to give to the clothing line and still is in line with his original marketing plans for Rich & Infamous.
Snoop also recently launched a new collection of tees designed by fames fashion designer Christian Audigier who is most known for launching Ed Hardy. Here is a preview of the pieces which are also available at the official Rich & Infamous site. The shirts features Audigier’s trademark script and foil finishing and some include rhinestones as well. Most go for roughly $90 a shirt. Check out the rest of the newest collection with Christian Audigier after the jump.

Snoop forms partnership with MTV and Rock Band

They should be re-naming it Rap Band now because the D-O-double-dizzle is about to enter the world of “Rock Band.” The best selling game which is a partnership between MTV and Harmonix will feature select hits from Snoop’s catalog.
According to a press release by MTV, as part of the multi-platform music deal that Snoop just signed, not only will MTV market and distribute his next album, but Snoop will be the first hip-hop artist to have a multi-song deal with Rock Band as well. This is great news as I can’t wait to rap “Ain’t No Fun” while my 5 year old cousin sings Nate Dogg chorus. Family fun for everyone!
Snoop signs record label deal with MTV

You heard right. MTV is taking advantage of their built in audience with the teen demo and will be launching a record label division with Snoop Dogg as their first artist. Snoop recently left his long-term deal with Interscope to be the pioneering artist for the MTV label. As part of the deal MTV will hold the exclusive rights to distribute, market and promote his next album, “Malice in Wonderland,” out later this year.
MTV is still finalizing distribution details to get the album into stores. From a marketing perspective, I’m surprised that MTV never launched something like this before. The main issue though is that for the past 3-4 years their focus has been on female teens, hence programming like “The Hills,” “Laguna Beach,” “MADE,” “The City” the list goes on and on. As a result young male teens have been tuning out the network as shows like “Jackass” were never replaced.
Well according to MTV, things are going to change. Their new programming schedule calls for more male friendly shows including a spin-off of “Jackass” to lure the guys back. This is all part of a bigger initiative to then have artists like Snoop come in and market the hell out of his album. Does this mean Snoop will unseat Diddy as the hip-hop king of MTV? Well Snoop will also be hosting a new variety show, “Dogg After Dark,” Feb. 17 on MTV. We will have more details on the Snoop and MTV collab as they come in.
