T.I. has been keeping himself busy and out of trouble since his release from jail with projects including his upcoming album Uncaged and his upcoming film Takers. And now T.I. recently announced his new role as a spokesperson for the French based Remy Martin Cognac. According to RollingOut, T.I. recently told radio station V-103 in Atlanta that he just returned from Cognac, France, where he put the finishing touches on the deal.

T.I. is no stranger to sponsorships having previously been a spokesperson for Chevrolet. No official word yet from parent company Rémy Cointreau but considering the deal just got wrapped up it might be awhile before the official press release and announce comes out. Regardless, this is great news for T.I. as he continues to expand his brand and re-establish himself with major companies and corporate sponsors.

Sony Screen Gems has just released this new updated trailer to Takers which really sets up the story well as a big time cops vs. robbers action flick.

Those Chris Brown fans will be happy to know he is part of the marketing campaign…this new trailer also features T.I.’s single “Yeah U Know” which is the unofficial Takers theme song.

We are seeing a lot more of this these days. If there is a rapper in the cast make you can be sure he is going to do a song about the movie with a video using film footage to it as a viral piece. T.I. is the latest as his single “Yea U Know” becomes one giant promo vid for Takers. Smart move if you ask me. Dumb move would be taking a Chris Brown song and turning that into a viral piece. Good way to get people NOT to see the movie.

Looks like the folks at Sony listened to all the fans complaining about what a bad Photoshop job they did on the original Takers movie poster. Gone is the bloated Photochopped head of T.I. but also gone is Chris Brown who is no where to be seen in this new version. We are not going to speculate why he was removed from the new poster in fear of the backlash we will receive from the five remaining Chris Brown fans out there. Movie hits theaters August 20th.

A couple weeks ago, the rumor went around that T.I. was not happy with Tiny and her BET reality show “Tina & Toya” and wanted them to pull the plug on the show immediately. We have to admit, we were one of the sites to post those rumors. Tip sets the record straight on Access Hollywood. Via: NR

Since T.I. has been a free man he’s been all business. The free time locked away has given him more direction in his business ventures, specifically his AKOO clothing line. He recently told MTV that he has big plans for AKOO.

“The direction of the clothing line, in my eyes, is upscale urban apparel,” Tip said, sitting in the Ace Hotel. “I just wanna continue to diversify. Continue to grow. Continue to speak to the cool kids of America. That’s my idealistic outcome.”

“It’s all gonna be comfortable,” Tip said of his clothes. “Everything is gonna be comfortable, casual. To me, we got V-neck tees, crew-neck tees, wovens. Denim is a big part of the lines. We actually pride ourselves on the quality of our denim, especially at the price point we at. We got fleece. We got a lot of imagery, distinctive imagery on our pieces, that sets us apart from everything else going on out there.”

T.I. opens up to Larry King about what led to his arrest and gun charges as he was interviewed on “Larry King Live” last night. Here is just a clip from the interview but I’m sure someone will have the entire interview ripped and on the net in no time. For those who saw the interview, T.I. answered most of the questions straight up…that is of course until Larry asked him “Have you ever shot a gun at anyone?”
