Maybe it was the 360 degree iPhone app that did it. Whatever it was, mega tech company, Intel, felt that Will.i.am is so full of innovative ideas that they just hired him as the new official Director of Creative Innovation. What does the job entail? will.i.am announced the iTunes App Store launch of BEP360, an iPad, iPhone and iPod touch app that immerses fans in a 360 degree  universe of the legendary music group.  Featuring the world’s first 360-degree view music video (“The Time 360”), BEP360 features the song “The Time (Dirty Bit),” the first single from new CD, “The Beginning”, now available on Interscope Records.? Check the video to see a demonstration. As much as we hate BEP these days, this is a pretty nice app to really immerse yourself in the video.

will.i.am looks to use his money for the benefit of others with the launch of his i.am.home Mortgage Relief Program. The program will not only help those who have fallen behind on their mortgage payments but it also plans to provide employment services to those in need.

“I rescue families who are losing their homes because they have no jobs and they can’t pay the mortgage and the banks are foreclosing on their homes,” said will.I.am. “All the people we help are debt free, they don’t have to pay me back, but we’ve had some hiccups. There was one lady whose home we rescued and we found her a job at a hospital. Then she didn’t show up to work on her first day and got fired.”

You know Nicki has pimped herself out with these guest appearances when she raps along side a member of the Black Eyed Peas. Yup…Will.I.Am. gets Nicki to rap with him on his latest single “Check It Out.”

will.i.am does it for the kids. Here is his new song “What I Am” which is to kick off Sesame Street’s new season starting Sept. 27th. I think this would have been much better if DMX performed it.

Apple should issue a press release on this one. TMZ reports that will.i.am was able to track down the robber that stole over $10,000 worth of jewelry and personal items (including the iPad) from his Bentley last week.will’s method? He turned on his iPad’s built-in tracking system to locate the thief’s whereabouts and then called the cops.

TMZ reports the police already have returned most of will.i.am’s stuff but the robber has not been caught and is currently on the run…hopefully for him he is not carrying will.i.am’s iPad.

It was just announced yesterday that Oprah Winfrey and Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am are among 30 new celebs who will be recipients of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011.

Other celebrities announced include Penelope Cruz, The Muppets, Gwyneth Paltrow, Donald Sutherland, Reese Witherspoon, Danny DeVito and Tina Fey. No word yet on when the actual ceremony for will.i.am will take place. will.i.am most recently has been working with Tom Cruise on the music for the upcoming flick Knight and Day.
